Winter Boots With Attitude That Will Kick Ass

Punks wearing the iconic Dr Martens boots in 1983

Now that October is here, I love ditching my flip flops and sandals to the back of the closet for something a little warmer. What better than a cosy pair of leather boots? Boots are a wardrobe staple because in Ireland, they can be worn all year long. I wear ankle boots with leggings and knee-high leather boots with skinny jeans and skirts. It’s worth investing in a high quality pair of winter boots that will last for years and that you can wear with many different outfits. Good leather boots never go out of style.

If you’re shopping for boots that will put some pride in your stride, check out my suggestions below. From Dr Martens to vegan, these are boots that are bound to kick some ass!

Black Sock Heeled Boots

Let’s start on a sophisticated note with these stylish and elegant Tommy Hilfiger black sock heeled boots by Schuh. These are dressy and would be fabulous worn with cropped jeans. With a red and white band above the ankle, these beauties are sure to turn heads as you walk down the street.

Dr Martens

Since its launch in the late 1950s, the iconic Dr Martens boot design has been inextricably linked with the working class. It has been known as a ‘boot for the people’. During the 60s, Dr Martens quickly became a countercultural symbol and were inextricably linked to punk fashion in the 70s and 80s. Punk bands like The Sex Pistols and The Clash embraced the boot as an essential part of their aesthetic.
