And just because a woman decides she doesn’t want a baby, that doesn’t make her selfish. Our society thrusts motherhood upon women as if it’s synonymous with womanhood. As if we’re not real women unless we have children. All of these expectations are convenient for the patriarchy. The same expectations never apply to men or fatherhood.
