No that is not what I mean. I don't mean that real Irish people don't include the people of Northern Ireland when in fact they do of course. By real Irish people, I mean people that I know and interact with every day such as friends and colleagues. Nobody I know in person expresses any hatred towards the British except for maybe friendly rivalry when it comes to rugby or football! :-) No one of my generation that grew up in the Republic will every understand what the people of N.I. experienced during The Troubles. How could we? I never lost anyone to violence thankfully.
