Like millions of others, I signed an Amnesty petition to appeal for justice for George Floyd. Does this make me a ‘too little, too late, recently woke White person’? Signing a petition or donating to a fundraiser is surely better than sitting on my White, privileged ass doing nothing, right?! Every little helps.

I certainly don’t suffer from ‘White Guilt’ as you describe. It’s completely pointless to feel guilty for the wrong doings of your ancestors that you had no control over. Should the present generation of Germans feel guilty over what their predecessors did to millions of Jews? I could go on.
