Let me just clear something up for those commenting here that misinterpreted my comments as saying "racism doesn't exist in Ireland". That is NOT what I said. I'm very aware it exists. However, there is distinct difference between racism in Ireland & in the USA.

The racism faced by black people in the USA is more closely related to slavery, a feeling that black people are naturally inferior and a prevailing sense of white supremacy. The kind of racism faced by black people in Ireland & the UK is very rarely to do with those sentiments, but more often than not a kind of class based racism reflecting traditional Irish or British culture and establishing itself in xenophobia. Do you see the difference here?

Please go educate yourself fully about racism in other countries before commenting. Otherwise, it just reflects your own ignorance & personal biases.
