I’m going to be the one to disagree with this. I have had made many great connections online with people in foreign countries especially via Facebook. However, I feel that you really do need to meet in person & spend time together before you can really know who that person is & call them a REAL friend. You can’t judge someone solely based on their posts, comments & online presence.

I know it’s different for everybody but I always find that you can’t always take what you read on social media platforms at face value. If you don’t get to meet them in person at some point, they’re just a FB or an online friend.
