I totally understand that & agree to a certain extent BUT so many people are guilty of going overboard with this on FB! I recently de-activated my FB account because I was so sick of my feed being full of people whinging about their illnesses, be it depression, being bi-polar, having PTSD, MS etc it was just too much! I felt burdened with their problems, because it was EVERY bloody day, a constant reminder!

People think that by constantly posting about their illness/disease/disability that they’re ‘raising awareness’ about their condition. The reality is that they’re not the only ones doing this, countless others are doing the same! Personal problems deserve personal solutions NOT social attention. People become guilty of over sharing when they give constant updates about their negative feelings on a daily basis to their audience. It’s completely unnecessary in my opinion & it’s obvious that these are needy, desperate, attention seeking people that are constantly looking for re-assurance & sympathy!

Sorry if this sounds harsh or it seems that I’m uncaring & lacking in empathy but it’s the truth! 😊
