Speaking of jobs, I started a six month contract last December & just found out on my first day back in the NY that due to budgetary constraints which impact my role, I will have to leave at the end of the month. I’m absolutely flabbergasted! I can’t understand why a company would go to the trouble of the hiring process without double checking their budget & seeing if they can afford to pay X amount of money for 6 months — it’s unbelievable & completely unfair to the person they’ve hired. I was actually hoping this job would last longer than 6 months!
